Good morning! Here are five things for you on this beautiful Saturday. Pretty random, but all things I wanted to tell you but they didn’t all need their own post. Have a great one, and spend some time with your family today.
1.) I am running a 5k this morning. I have not run a 5k in a year, so this will be interesting. I have been focusing on distance so much, I honestly don’t how how I will perform. I will of course do a race recap next week. It’s short distance springtime!
2.) I am participating in the #iheartomron running challenge. I have already received my heart rate monitor and can’t wait to try it out at the race today. Stay tuned to hear more form me about how I like the device. Heart rate monitor without a chest strap? Epic I tell you.
3.) The winner of the Cool Cat Pro giveaway. Sorry I am a day late posting this. A huge thank you to all who entered, and I hope you will go check out the website and make a purchase even if you didn’t win. The winner is Sara! (SSny515) please email me at runningwithsass@gmail.com to claim your prize.
4.) I have already eaten entirely too much Easter candy. True story. Two bags of mini eggs, a box of Cadbury eggs, and a bag of sweet tart bunnies. I tell no lies. Hi my name is Heather and I have a problem.
5.) I am so thankful for you my readers. I know I haven’t responded to comments on my post about my new blog, but please know I read every. single. one. and I am so so grateful for you all. I was super worried about the transition, but I have gotten nothing but positive feedback. You are all amazing and I am blessed!
QOTD: Who has exciting weekend plans?

Hi Heather!
I love your new blog!
I love the chest strap free heart rate watches. I find the chest strap so uncomfortable. I have one of the first models that Omron came out with and I love it! But I’m kind of loving that model you have on!
thank you!
I like it so far.
I forgot about the new look and when I signed on today it just made me smile. I really love it! I’m not even going down the Easter candy aisles-ha! I’m off to support friends running a a 10k today, while I’m in my FOURTH week of no running due to a ITB injury. Good luck on your 5K!!
You are so sweet! I still forget about it too lol!
Have fun today!!! And Easter candy…eeeeeeeeeee yum! Enjoy my portion will ya?
My fun plans were last night. Went out for Mexican food with friends and we saw Oz.
oohhh how was Oz?
I did post a short review. A bit of a mixed bag with the acting, but I love love love Finley. My friends and I enjoyed it.
thanks for the heads up!
Have a wonderful race this morning! It’s supposed to be nice this weekend so I’m hoping to get some miles in this weekend.
Love your logo at the top.
thanks!
a HRM without a chest strap..say whaaatt?! Where has this been all my life? I’m curious if it’s as accurate as a strap one because if it is I’d love to switch. Any chance can you do a comparison between a chest strap one and this?
I don’t own one that has a strap (I don’t think?) So far, the GPS isn’t super accurate but the HR and calories are pretty good.
I’m curious to hear what you think of the HR monitor! I’ve heard that ones without a chest strap aren’t as accurate? BUT, I’d love to just put the watch part on and go without having to do the chest strap.
I dislike chest straps so I’m excited!
OMG! The Easter candy! I can’t stop! I have no clue why the Hershey eggs are so addictive. It’s the same chocolate as in Hershey’s Kisses, right? Yet, I can sit and scarf down a bag of those things like nobody’s business! Same with the Cadbury mini eggs. I feel your pain!
it’s tough!
I am personally impressed that you only had two bags if mini eggs…i gave up sugar for Lent again this year and I bought some mini eggs for Jeff just so I could sniff them. Hi my name is Michelle and I have a Cadbury problem.
LOL I could never give them up!
Good luck with your Challenge and hope your 5K went well.
I’m going to CeeLo Green tonight and NASCAR tomorrow. Exciting!!
have fun!
I can’t start with the Cadbury eggs-or I will never stop! Not only do I truly love them-eating the mini eggs reminds me of my childhood. My family went every spring break to Bermuda where the hotel we stayed at would supply us with bags and bags of the cadbury eggs!
Excited to hear about the race!
What a cool memory!
My favorite time of year – Cadbury!!! I have been trying to avoid the candy aisle because once I start, it’s hard to stop. But then again, it’s only for a short period of time, right? Or that is how I justify it to myself.
