Headed on Out

Morning friends! I am headed on out to New Orleans today for the Jazz half marathon! I ran this race in 2010 and really love it, and can’t wait to do it again, even if I am not in the best shape/health, it will still be a blast. New Orleans is an awesome place to race and I love this one not only because it’s smaller and less crowded, but it benefits Children’s Hospital.

  3. I LOVE destination races! I started coordinating my vacations around races and it’s been a great experience. So far my favorite has been Disneyland, but I’m really excited this summer to head to Chicago for Rock n Roll Chicago

  4. Good luck this weekend!!! And I will count my long run today as part of the virtual run! :-) My favorite destination run…Disney of course!!! One question…do you have to give the phone back??? ;-)

  5. I have never done a destination race but would love to!

  7. Have a great time this weekend! That’s a race I’d love to do someday.

  8. Good luck in your race! I hope that you’re feeling better.

I have 2 favorite destination races, either would actually get me training for a marathon again. #1 is the Paris Marathon, my all time favorite. I’ve done it twice. A close 2nd is the Honolulu Marathon. Aloha!

  9. kick some boooootay this weekend! Sometimes having the least expectations, and just going out to have FUN in a race ends up having the best results! less pressure or something? not quite sure what it is! ;)

  10. Good luck this weekend!! The only two destination races I’ve run are the Chicago Marathon and Marine Corps Marathon but for some reason, those don’t feel like destination races to me! I would to run the Paris Marathon or Honolulu.

  11. I’ve only done one half, and it was the Princess. It was certainly very fun to go to Disney to race. Now I need to try DL.
