Home Sweet Home

Greetings from Louisiana! We got to my parents house outside New Orleans around 6:30 last night. We were so tired we didn’t even unload the SUV’S! This morning we went for an easy 6 mile run and neither of us were really feeling it. I think we just have a lot on our minds right now.

Now we are BBQing and getting ready for the LSU game!!!Geaux Tigers!

Here are a few images from the past 24 hours…..

My dad took his “feed the children” hat and made it “feed the Bobby” because Bobby eats so much!

Sorry this is short, but I am tired and the game is about to come on! Hope you are all having a great Saturday!

QOTD: Where is “home” to you?

Comments

  1. Home is where your family is! For sure! 11 moves later, we finaly figured it out. Enjoy your weekend!

  2. Home will always be NJ for me no matter what.
    Hahaha “feed the Bobby” :)

  3. Phahha your dad is something else! That Feed the Bobby hat is GREAT! I love that!!! Glad you guys made it in one piece! Have fun watching the game! :0)

  4. Your SUV looks much more organized than any of my car packing – you’ve got skills! :)

At this point “home” is pretty broad – basically the whole state of WI. We’ve only lived in 3 cities throughout our lives, but don’t have any real attachment yet…

Got a question! How do you carry your water and GU or gel during a race?

    • Great questions! I actually only carry water on training runs. I pick races carefully if I can and with half marathons I do ones that hVe water and Gatorade every 1-2 miles, so carrying water isn’t necessary. My running skirts have two side pockets that close with Velcro and my gu packets fit perfectly in there and I usually bring a tissue too bc my nose always runs!

      • Ginger Dorsey says:

Thank you! Very helpful. My shorts only have one small pocket so not sure they would fit. Gonna try some different things tonight on my long run.

  6. Glad you made it safely! When do you get to move into your new house?
