Mickey Boat Time

Fun news, Bobby and I are going on a CRUISE in two weeks! Yup, two weeks from today we will be setting sail on the Disney Fantasy for seven amazing nights in the Western Caribbean. We NEVER do anything last minute like this, but due to a few circumstances in our lives decided we needed to get away just the two of us. This week was the only one that worked for us, so yup, two weeks away, ah! I have been on the fantasy for a quick 3 night preview cruise, but Bobby has never been.

DisneyFantasy

We will be staying in a Deluxe family oceanview stateroom with verandah.

We will be visiting Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Disney’s private island Castaway Cay.

We have no big plans, no excursions, just a week of relaxing and hanging out, getting away from some crazy things going on.

Our awesome neighbors will be watching the house and the dogs, so all is taken care of. Don’t worry, I will have lots of great posts scheduled while I am gone so Through Heather’s Looking Glass will still be up and running!

  1. Hope y’all have a great time – sounds nice and relaxing! Sorry our plans didn’t work out this time…hopefully soon! :0)

  2. Jennifer says:

I’ve planned the night before…I’m a DVC member and I’ve called and said I’m coming tomorrow, lol.

Have a blast on your cruise, thats awesome!

  3. Oh my goodness, SO jealous! I haven’t been on a Disney Cruise (and my husband’s never been on a cruise at all!), so it’s totally on our “to-do” list…problem is there’s SOOO many things on that to-do list!

  4. What fun! I’m totally a last minute trip planner but my husband needs at least a month to mentally prepare himself!

I’ve never been on a cruise, let alone a Disney one. Can’t wait to hear all about it! We are planning our first trip to Disneyland for October. I’ve never been and am probably more excited than our 7- and 8-year old girls!

  5. Yay, that’s awesome. My boyfriend works for Royal Caribbean so we cruise fairly often – it’s my favorite way to travel! : ) We’ll be going on Allure of the Seas the first week in June!

We booked Allure last month, which is probably the farthest out we’ve booked a vacation in a really long time. A couple of years ago we had a last minute vacation with family get cancelled but because we had already taken the time off work just kind of on a whim picked a new destination and flew out 24 hours later. We ended up in Seattle on that trip and had a great time hiking through the mountains and seeing some amazing scenery that we definitely don’t have in Florida!

Because we had so much fun on that spur of the moment trip, we’ve kind of planned all of our vacations spontaneously since then. We’ll take a week off work, but won’t actually make the final decision on what we’re going to do until the last minute. It makes those final 48 hours even more exciting! : )

Although, we’re able to do that in part I suppose because we don’t have any kids. I imagine when traveling with children it’s better to plan just a little bit farther in advance to ensure there are plenty of activities for them, haha. I guess we’ll find out some day (maybe)!

    • Thats awesome you get to cruise so much! We are trying to have some fun before kids too, b/c like you I know it will be more difficult to get away spur of the moment!

  6. Have fun! Sometimes time away together is just what you need! My husband and I have three small children, so it’s not always so easy to get away for a week. Even sneaking away for supper, just the two of us, is amazing and a night or two is bliss! It’s wonderful how time away from the rest of the world brings you closer together and makes you stronger! Enjoy!!

  7. Sounds like a fun trip! I hope it provides the relaxation and together time you’re looking for. :)
As for me, I’m a big planner and I usually book our trips well in advance. We have taken a quick one or two night getaway spontaneously, but nothing major.

  8. I love Disney cruises! Hope ya’ll have an awesome time-but how can you not!!

  9. So Fun! We are heading out on the Disney Magic 2 weeks from yesterday. I like to plan and do last minute trips, best of both worlds!

  10. We usually plan our vacations in advance but once booked a last minute trip to Malaysia and really enjoyed it :)

  11. I hope you guys have a great time! You deserve it!

  12. I’m so jealous! My next cruise isn’t until February. I wish I lived near a port! I hope the Castaway Cay 5K is going to be on your to-do list!

  13. I’d love to go on a Disney Cruise one day – I hope you have an amazing time!

  14. I’m jealous!! I’ve always wanted to go on a Disney cruise!! I can’t wait for you to tell us all about your trip!!

  15. I discovered your page and noticed you could have a lot more traffic. I have found that the key to running a website is making sure the visitors you are getting are interested in your subject matter. There is a company that you can get traffic from and they let you try it for free. I managed to get over 300 targetted visitors to day to my website. Check it out here: http://x.vu/1259621
