Movin to the beat

Music. I am not a huge music person. I mean, I listen to it in the car, but that’s about it. I don’t have 100 million songs downloaded on my ipod nor do i care to go to 10 concerts a year. I love to sing, but I am more of a thinker when I am alone if that makes sense. Well, I used to run with my husband a lot, but now that he is working two jobs we rarely get to run together, so i need some motivation, something to keep me busy. I would love to get some fun uptempo songs on my ipod, go for a run, and see what happens with my time. So, whata re your favorite songs to run with? Please help me out here!

On a side note, THE SAINTS ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!
Last night was awful just AWFUL! I went form happy, to angry, to excited, to freaking out! My blood pressure must have been skyrocketing! Oh, and then i cried at the end of regulation when the Vikings had the ball in FG range. Yes I CRIED! I kept saying it wasn’t fair, we deserved to win, etc. It was so pathetic. Then, I got mad at myself for crying over something so stupid and letting football have it’s magical powers over me! My poor husband asked if I will be like that for the superbowl and i said yes, and now he is fearing for his life! (I tend to yell, a lot..at anyone in range, for doing anything…so, word of warning, stay away!)

NFC CHAMPIONS! I am trying to resist the urge to buy NFC champion gear b/c i want SUPERBOWL gear!

  1. You will probably laugh at my choice of running music. I know I’m acting totally like I’m 13 years old again but this is what my “running music” list is comprised of:
    High School Musical
    Hannah Montana
    Ashley Tisdale
    Miley Cyrus
    Demi Lavato
Haha so yeah you probably won’t like my choice of music!!! lol I do have to say that I’m not a huge Jonas Brothers fan so there’s not much of them on my running music list! lol

  2. I don’t run w/ music for a bunch of reasons.

But good music totally makes or breaks a spin class for me. I prefer rock but realize most people don’t :) But dance music w/ a good beat- Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas- is great to workout to!

  3. well when I am with bobby I usually dont but when I am alone I get so bored, so I figured I would give it a try and maybe it would help me? i listened to the Glee soundtrack the other day lol!!

  4. I don’t run with music, either, because my mind wanders pretty easily and I’m able to keep myself occupied…even for really long runs! That said, I used to run to very upbeat stuff…(don’t laugh) the dance dance revolution disney mix soundtrack from Japan. LOL. Also some uptempo alternative like some green day. I don’t mind not running to music, though, because I have yet to find earphones that stay in while running…ugh.

  5. crystal i just got bobby some of the ones that wrap around the top of your ears. philipis makes them I think. He really likes them.

too funny about your music choices!

  6. Yeah…I should get some new ones, but I’m cheap and the 9.99 ones don’t really sound that great…I’d have to spend at least $30 and I’d rather put that $30 towards oh…another running skirt… ;) I do actually have an old school pink shuffle for running so I don’t have to lug around my ipod classic, but eh. I like just being out there in the streets. lol

  7. Well…you know I need that pink minnie dot when it comes out…hee hee…

  8. I listen to Alt Rock, so I have lots of suggestions there, but I’m not sure what kind of tunes you prefer.

And, Boo-Hiss that the Saints won! I’m a Vikes fan:)

    • hey now! I guess I will still be nice to you :) I do love Brett, he’s from my state, such a good guy. I do usually cheer for the vikings…when they aren’t playing my boys in black and gold lol!
Well just anything upbeat is what I am looking for, particularly motivating songs would be good!

  9. Oooh!! Pick me!!

I’ve got 112 on my playlist and I just posted some of the ones I could remember.

Pretty random, but that leads to hopefully something for everyone.
