Good morning! Today Bobby and I are volunteering at a Triathlon. It is the same one that we spectated at last year. You can see the recap here. I will be back with a full report next week.

1.) How/Why did you start blogging?
Initially I started blogging in 2006 as a way to keep family members, like my grandma and grandpa from out-of-state, up-to-date on what we were doing. It was just another form of communication. As time went on I began to document my running journey/challenges. Now I also see it as my own personal outlet. It holds me accountable and is a place I can share my journey with those that are interested.
2.) Sum up your blog in a couple sentences.
BananaBuzzbomb is about a me, a 28 year old vegan triathlete, learning about myself and about life. Specifically, I’m learning to simplify, to take care of my body to the best of my ability, and to detoxify my surroundings. I’m learning to focus on the journey and not the destination.
3.) What do you wish to accomplish/achieve by blogging?
I like that I can easily have a friendly reminder of how far I’ve come just by simply clicking back into my archives. I also love that people from the blogging community that = become my friends. I have gained more knowledge, insight, and support than I ever dreamed possible. It is also my hope that maybe someone, even if only one person, may learn something through my through my challenges and successes.
4.)What is your biggest healthy living accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment or challenge I’ve overcome would be running. I couldn’t run if my life depended on it. Now I can say I’ve finished many 5Ks, a Half Marathon, and a Sprint Triathlon. I’m currently training for my next Half Marathon and my first Half Ironman Distance REV3 Triathlon.
