RWS Features #37

Good morning friends! I have gotten a few inquires on Twitter and in emails about my foot, and about my cold. Both are doing better. I slept for eleven hours the first two nights I was home and went through two boxes of tissues (my poor nose is so raw!) But I am feeling much better!

As for my foot, it is doing better too! Bobby and I ran eight miles yesterday morning, and just like last time, I had a few twinges going up hills, but other than that it was fine. I did have some serious hip pain and am wondering if it’s my new shoes, so I am going to try running in my OLD shoes Monday (with my inserts to help with support) and see if I have hip issues.

We got an earlier start than we have been, and it was so much nicer and cooler/shadier than it has been in the past. As much as I hate getting up early, we will definitely be starting earlier for now on!

Today I wanted to introduce you to another blogger. Be sure to go visit their site and show some love. Everyone, say hello to Danielle from

Look at those adorable dogs! I got a chance to catch up with Danielle at the Healthy Living Summit this year in Boston, she is super sweet!

1.) How/Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging in March of this year. After reading blogs for about a year I decided to finally start my own. It helps me stick to a workout plan and to eat healthy if I am telling people what I am doing. It will also be nice to look back on one day.

2.) Sum up your blog in a couple sentences:

It’s A Harleyyy Life is where I share my day to day activities of trying to live a healthy lifestyle by eating right {for the most part} and working out.

3.)What do you wish to accomplish/achieve by blogging?

I blog for me first. I would love to just keep the mentality I have from blogging and not fall back into the trap of concentrating on my weight. Blogging really has changed my life around. I also blog for my readers. I would love to make close friends and maybe just affect one persons life one day.

4.)What is your biggest healthy living accomplishment?

It may not seem like much but I gained the freshman 25 in college and worked it off. I never want to go back to that weight.

5.) What is your blog URL and twitter handle

Thanks so much Danielle! Everyone be sure to stop by her blog and say hello!

QOTD: Do you have a pet? What kind? name? I love pets and fun pet names!

  2. so glad youre feeling a bit better and that the foot is doing ok, heather!! and danielle, great guest post!! i sadly dont have any pets right now, but i grew up on a huge farm with tons of animals. we never had less than 3 dogs at a time my whole life! it was great! spa love to you both and happy weekend!

  3. I love both of these blogs, running with sass and its a harleyyy life. Keep up the good work ladies! Lea

  4. Hi Danielle! I do have a pet, but not a furry friend it’s a bit unconventional. We have a pet turtle named Sam! He’s the man, really. Turtles have so much personality and I didn’t even know this until we happened upon one. He’s growing bigger everyday and I love thew way he frankly swims to the top of the tank when he knows he’s getting fed. Super cute lil guy!

  5. We are a no pet family. When I was growing up I didn’t have any pets but my brothers had many of all kinds and sizes.

Glad to hear you’re feeling better.

  6. Glad you’re feeling better!

Danielle, what a great reason to blog. And that is a huge achievement – well done!

  7. Glad you are feeling better and healing! Great feature of Danielle, I love her blog! I have a chocolate lab named Nutmeg, we call her Meg!
