School’s Out for summer!!!

YAY! It’s official, I am DONE! It took a LOT longer than anticipated. Last year I was done by our luncheon, but this year I had meetings all morning so i wasn’t done till 3:15. ug. I will admit, it was kinda sad leaving. I will still be back next year and in the same room but I won’t be teaching 5th grade. I am WAY sentimental so it was bittersweet.
I am so tired though! I am really hoping this weekend to get back into a good running routine! I miss the energy I have after working out. I feel so blah! I have been trying to do little bits of exercise here and there like taking the stairs, etc. But it’s hard. I think I am going to take the girls on a walk soon for a little exercise.
It is so surreal, it definately hasn’t hit me yet that I am out now! I will still be so busy, but hopefully a good busy!

Once again, sorry for the boring post, I hope you all understand!

here is a link to a giveaway as an apology for my boringness!

  1. You are so lucky to be out! My school does not get out until June 22 and it seems like forever!!! I was so tired after a hot day in the classroom that I had to come home and take a nap before I ran on the TM. I was thinking that I can’t wait to get out of school so I can concentrate on just RUNNING!

  2. YAY!!! I just so love summertime!! (:

  3. We just finished today. A new HS is being finished this summer, so all of our schools are flipping around. The Upper Elementary and the Middle are finally getting out of FEMA trailers thanks to Katrina. I loved my room, but now I’m going to the old high school which is becoming the new middle school! Talk about a whirlwind summer ahead. So everything had to be packed and taken down in our rooms (whiteboards, Promethean, etc.). I was so happy to hear the all clear to leave today. Oh, and I’m definitely trying to get back into a better work out routine too. It sucks when a male student says, “It’s okay you’re fat, Mrs. Ainsworth. It happens when you have a kid.” UGH. Talk about making you feel like a million bucks. My heart dropped. Happy Summer! What are you teaching next year? I’m dropping to 7th English.

    • I feel ya on moving! 5th grade is moving down the hall, so even though I am going to 7-8th grade English, al the things in my room had to be moved down the hall/HUGE closet cleaned out. it was not fun. I was one of the last people to leave! I hope you get through your switch too. You can do it!

  4. I had no idea you were moving to English. How exciting for you!
