Cool-Cat Pro Review and Giveaway

I was contacted by the great people who created Cool-Cat Pro about doing a review and giveaway. I checked out their product and was intrigued by its versatility, so I decided to try it out! The Cool-Cat Pro is a headband for serious athletes.

Wearing my Cool-Cat as a bandana

This headband is more than just a headband, it is also a neck warmer, a scrunchie, wristband, a sunshade, and bandana. It even has snaps on one side to help you create the look you want.

For me living in the south, I love that it wicks sweat away and keeps my hair out of my face. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a diverse product that you can wear multiple ways, all year round! I doubt I will be using it much to stay out of the wind and cold, but it comes in handy for the sweat and sun for sure!

This product is also lightweight and at a great price point. The snaps ensure it fits all sizes. It’s stretchy, but never hurts my head like some headbands do. It is also machine washable and comes in a variety of fun colors (with more colors coming!) Go to this page to see other ways to wear the Cool-Cat.

Cool-Cat has been featured on msn.com, and they have a neat story. The husband-wife team came up with this product after going fishing and getting sunburned necks. The idea was born, and with a few tweaks, has become what it is today. I love great stories like that!

Cool-Cat has offered a giveaway for one lucky RWS reader! Check out rafflecoptor below to see how to enter.

Sparkly Soul Giveaway- Closed

Happy Friday! The second part of my Disney marathon race recap will be up on Monday!

Awhile back I was contacted by the wonderful folks at Sparkly Soul and asked to do a review and giveaway on my blog. Yes please! I picked out one thin (silver) and one think (rainbow) band, and I love them! I not only wear them for running and working out, but also just around town, or to dress up an outfit with a little sparkle.

SS3

Sparkly Soul is based in NYC, and was started by a runner/triathlete who want to push their athletic limits, and also needed something to keep their hair out of their face without giving them a headache.

SS

I especially love the rainbow option because it matches so many different things.

SS1

I have gotten so many compliments, and even wore my rainbow headband during the Disney half marathon! They don’t give me headaches, they stay put, and are a very reasonable price. What’s not to love?

Friday Favorites: Rok Bands

TGIF! What better way to kick off a Friday than with a giveaway? Also, it doubles as the return of my “Friday Favorites” posts. If you want to look back at some of my other faves, just type “Friday Favorites” into the search box on the right side bar. Easy peasy!

Today’s favorite/giveaway is courtesy of Gone For A Run. When I was working the Running Skirts booth at Rock ‘N’ Roll Providence, I had the pleasure of being across from the one for a run booth and meeting these sweet people! We got to talking, and I told them I was a blogger and they asked if I wanted to do some product reviews/giveaways. Um, of COURSE! Up first is the Rok Band! I will admit, I had never heard of such an animal until I saw it at the expo.

The thing I like about these babies is they are more versatile than your average performance headband. Check out the ways you can wear it in the picture below:

I also love that guys can wear them too, unlike some of the other performance headband brands. (No stealing husband!) I opted to try out the cute paisley one, so it will go with a lot of my outfits.

At first I wasn’t exactly sure the best way to handle this one! I ended up folding it over twice, and it worked like a charm. I like that its thin enough that even doubled up, it wasn’t super thick on my head. Also, it was tight enough to stay in place, but not so tight that it gave me a headache as some tend to do. I can’t wait to try wearing it a different way!

check out these before and after shots from my run. I didn’t touch the Rok Band once the entire run and it didn’t move an inch!
