Weekly Recap: August Week 4

Happy Sunday! Honestly, this week there isn’t a ton to report since I came home on Monday sick after Healthy Living Summit. I did lots of sleeping and nose blowing, and was finally able to run Friday, but that was my first workout since Sunday. Let’s recap, shall we?

Saturday: Beast Body Bootcamp and 20 minutes stationary bike

eh. What can you do? It happens. 11 miles running for the week isn’t awful….well, two weeks before a half marathon it is, but I hadn’t done weights in a week, and I wanted to go into my race strong. Oh well! Rolling with the punches over here. I still have some lingering sniffles, but am hoping to tackle 11 miles tomorrow as my last (and only) double digit run before the half. I can’t believe it’s finally here! Have a great day everyone.

QOTD: Would you rather have a cold for a week or the chicken pox for a week?

Comments

  1. I really hope you get to feeling better. Seems like it’s almost run it’s course. Rest up and start the week right! :)

  2. great job listening to your body and giving rest to it when you needed it most! i hope youre back to 100% soon! i never got the chicken pox as a kid.. i know, right?! so weird. they finally gave me the vaccine for it a couple years ago when i was like 19, so i wont get it as an adult. i hear they’re totally awful! when my sister had them i remember how miserable she was, so i think id take the cold!! happy sunday!

  3. Sorry you got sick after a Healthy Living Summit – do you see the humor here?! Sniffles in the summer are the worst. I ran a half on the 11th and haven’t done much since. Hip is out of wack. So my full next month is out. Hoping to still make the half. Oh and to your question: I’ll take a cold anyday! Mom said I was miserable with the chickenpox.

  4. Glad you were able to rest up and feel better, girl!

  5. Hope those sniffles go away soon!

  6. I’m glad you’re starting to feel better! A cold is AWFUL! It just sucks all of the energy out of you. :)

Good luck on your half. I have fallen behind with my running since school started-I’ve got to get my groove back on!!!
