Weekly Recap: January Week 5

Last update of January, and it was a pretty darn good workout week to boot. I worked really hard, and even did a long run and some speed work. I am already working on one of my monthly goals to up my weights at the gym, and I was literally sore for days after last Monday’s body pump class. Here is what last week looked like in workouts:

photo

Sunday: rest

Monday: Body pump one hour class, .5 miles run on TM

Tuesday: stationary bike 30 minutes

Wednesday: back and biceps, ran 3 miles speed work

Thursday: chest and tri’s, ran 6 miles on the TM

Friday: back and bi’s, 30 minutes stationary bike

Saturday: ran 10 miles

I am very happy with this effort, I got in almost 20 miles of running, and three days of cross training and lots of weights between body pump and lifting on my own.

This next week is going to look a little bit different because we will be at my parents house for the week because Bobby has some business in New Orleans, but I am still going to workout as much as possible!

QOTD: What is your favorite kind of fitness class to take? I am loving body pump!

Comments

  1. What a great week you had girl! I taught 5 Pure Barreclases, took one, took a RIPPED class, a yoga class, did 20 minutes stair stepper, 2 mile tempo run, and two days of weights (tri’s, bi’s, shoulders, back).
Need to get my mileage back up as I have signed on for Ragnar!! You keep it up girl!

  2. Body pump is the BEST! I don’t go since i don’t belong to a gym, but I’m seriously thinking of getting recertified to teach it. Best.workout. Ever.

  3. I really love BodyPump, too! I take the full class on Tuesdays and then my gym offers an express class — about 35-40 minutes — on Thursdays. I really like CX Worx, too (also a Les Mills class).

  4. I don’t get to take classes at a gym :( . We live in the boonies and there’s not a lot available. On my non running days, I usually try to do a dvd like Jillian…but it’s just not the same!! So jealous.
I’m also ordering a running skirt with your code….so excited…thanks!

  5. Your workout outfits are so cute! It’s hard to look that good when you’re sweaty, but you’re definitely rocking it. I absolutely love my hot vinyasa/power yoga classes. I get toned all over and I get to reconnect with my body and drop all of the thoughts racing around in my head.

  6. I love (and miss) kickboxing! I used to do kickboxing back in middle/high school, but haven’t found a local place to do it yet

  7. Awesome week! Way to go!! :0)

  8. Awesome job girly, getting right back I the thick of it :)

  9. Way to go on your workouts! You rock.

Favorite fitness class when we did go to a gym was spinning. Now we have our own classes in our home gym *wink*

  10. Great week of workouts! I love Body Pump, that’s the one class I take consistently (when I can get away from work). My gym now has a cross fit class that I want to try. I really need to get back in the gym.
